Design
Our customer service team has experienced representatives ready to work with you on your custom order, discussing details such as your label artwork, label stock and delivery. Our Art Department can either create your label artwork or use your existing artwork. In either case, we prepare your art so that it is press ready.
Setup
Once the label artwork has been approved, our inhouse plate makers create the plates used to print images on your label. A different plate is needed for each different color you have on your label. The completed plates are mounted on one of our presses which best suits your printing specifications for stock size, quantity and colors. Huge rolls of stock are loaded onto the press for printing. A rotary die is required to cut your requested shape onto the label. These dies are manufactured according to very tight standards, and can be customized to cut virtually any shape.
Production
The plate is responsible for picking up the ink from the press and applying it onto the label stock. Ultraviolet lighting is used to rapidly dry the ink. Laminate may be applied to the stock for protection and durability. The die rotates on top of the label stock cutting the required shape down to the liner. The outside waste stock is then stripped away leaving a cleanly cut label on the liner. The average job is run at about 250 feet per minute, depending on various factors determined by our pressmen.
Package
Once the labels are printed, we perform an inspection to ensure perfect quality. Our inspection personnel break down the rolls to the size and wind direction you require. The labels are then packed and prepared for shipment. We ship by UPS or other trucking companies depending on the customer's requested method of shipping.
